Sam Sheppard Fidler named Smithers Business Leader in Europe

In his new role, Sheppard Fidler will be responsible for leading all business operations for Smithers Material Science and Engineering division in Europe. He is a 20-year member of the Smithers team in the UK, previously leading the company’s European Distribution Testing and Product Testing operations. He will be based at the companies’ facility in Shawbury, Shropshire, UK.

A regular speaker and chair at packaging events in the UK, Europe and North America, Sheppard Fidler remains actively involved in the packaging industry. He is a member of the Packaging Society in the UK, and acting Chair of the ISTA (International Safe Transit Association) Global Board. Sheppard Fidler is also a Director of ISTA’s European Board

Succeeding Sheppard Fidler in the role Operations Director for Packaging and Physical Testing at Smithers is James Raw. Raw has been with the business for 20 years and is a key figure in leading the continuing growth and success of the Distribution Testing operation. Supporting Raw in the role of Business Manager, Distribution Testing is Justin Scott. Well known to clients and with over 11 years’ successful contribution to the business, Scott will take overall lead of the Distribution Testing operation.
