Smithers Print and Security Services Receives New UKAS Accreditation

Smithers Print and Secure Documents service is now fully accredited for testing passports and ID cards to ISO 17025 (UKAS Lab number 0112).
Previously accredited for the ICAO passport specification, Smithers has now added the following Standards to the schedule:
- BS ISO/IEC 18745-1:2018 – Physical test methods for passport books
- BS ISO/IEC 24789-2:2011 – Identification cards – card service life
- BS ISO/IEC 13073-1:2006 + A1:2012 – Identification cards – general characteristics
- ISO/IEC DIS 10373-1:2019 – Cards and security devices for personal identification – general characteristics
Accreditation assures our clients that testing is performed to the highest International Standards.
