(Shawbury, UK) – January 23, 2024 - Smithers, a leading provider of testing, consulting, information, and compliance services, announced the appointment of Mike Bachmann to the Business Development Manager role for Smithers Medical Device Testing Division.
As the Business Development Manager, Bachmann will direct and support business development efforts for Smithers medical device and pharmaceutical testing laboratories in Akron, Ohio, USA and Shawbury, United Kingdom. These laboratories provide expert chemical analysis and physical and functional testing services for medical products including injectable devices like combination products, as well as single use technologies (SUTS) and parenterals.
Mike Bachmann will serve clients in the United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, and Austria, drawing on his over 20-years of experience in business development.

Prior to joining Smithers, Bachmann spent over a decade working for STERIS, formerly Anecto Test Services. He studied Business Administration at the University of Tübingen and the University of Bayreuth.
