Smithers expert Jeff Andrasik is presenting a one-hour webinar on the impact of electric vehicle development on automotive hoses and fluid transfer systems. Andrasik will share valuable data on the current landscape of the electric vehicle market, including consumer attitudes, market sizing projections, and forecasts on market penetration in different regions. He will explain what this shift toward electrification will mean for a variety of hose types, including how their role, materials, and construction will change. Special attention will be paid to hoses and assemblies for battery thermal management. Finally, Andrasik will discuss the changes in hose testing standards and share a few key examples, including images of testing setups and configurations.

About the Presenter

Jeff Andrasik is General Manager for Product Testing in North America. Since joining Smithers in 2002, he has developed an executed a vast range of test programs for hoses and fluid transfer assemblies for the automotive, industrial, aerospace, nuclear, and consumer products industries. He is a member of the Hose Safety Institute Advisory Council of the National Association for Hose and Accessories Distribution (NAHAD). He has a Bachelor’s of Science in mechanical polymer engineering from the University of Akron.
