Smithers is inviting industry professionals to an exclusive Open Day at its UK Packaging Distribution Testing facility.

Who is the event for?
The special event is designed for those involved in minimising pack and product damage in distribution, optimising pack performance, meeting specifications or complying with regulatory requirements. If these are your objectives or areas in which you are involved – we would be delighted to meet and host you at our labs in June.Our package and distribution testing solutions help clients reduce shipment damage, troubleshoot packaging and supply chain issues, identify cost reduction opportunities, meet sustainability or regulatory requirements and more. We offer extensive, ISTA-certified, lab-based testing and simulation, field-based investigative capabilities and consultative support. From physical impacts and vibration, through to climatic challenges, we can simulate virtually any transit scenario.
What does the event involve?
Participants will benefit from a mix of exclusive lab tours, live testing demos, an expert talk as well as opportunities to meet the team for questions and discussion. Take aways from day will include:- Gain new insights: see testing in-action, find out how transit scenarios can be simulated and test programmes are designed.
- Meet and talk direct to our team of experts. Ask questions about testing, your upcoming projects or challenges.
- Build a wider understanding of how the performance and compliance of materials and packs can be evaluated – with additional tours of our Food Contact Materials Analysis and Materials and Primary Pack Testing facilities.
