QUV testing simulates ultraviolet (UV) rays in a chamber that also has temperature, humidity, and irradiance controls. Measurements are taken pre- and post-test to assess color fastness and light fastness, as well as other changes in physical properties. Testing can also be used to predict whether or not UV exposure will cause staining. QUV testing is especially crucial for products that will be used outdoors.
