Smithers tire engineers produce two webinars: qualifying imported tires and an in-depth look at tire treads
The tire and rubber consulting team at Smithers has produced two webinars this spring.

Validating Tire Quality: Developing an Effective Quality Program for Imported Tires

Smithers Vice President of Technical Consulting Bruce Lambillotte partnered with Chad Mowery of Roetzel & Andress LPA to deliver a webinar on how tire importers and distributors are impacted by changes in the international tire supply chain. The webinar originally ran on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.

On the webinar, Mowery reviewed importer liability and regulatory requirements and discussed how to prepare your business to address tire quality issues and any resulting legal liability. Lambillotte detailed standard practices for tire performance evaluation and analytical evaluation methods for tire construction. He also provided a walk-through of the process of designing a new tire qualification program and how to prioritize based on budget and unique circumstances.

The webinar is free and available for immediate download.
