Introduction to Extractables & Leachables

Smithers experts Michael Creese and Keith Scott partnered up to deliver an introductory webinar on extractables and leachables testing. The webinar originally ran on Thursday, March 26, 2020.
 
The webinar opens with definitions of extractables and leachables and explains the importance and purpose of extractables and leachables testing. The experts then discuss regulations and best practices surrounding extractables and leachables testing, including a detailed look at worldwide regulatory authorities, standard-setting bodies and organizations, industry consortia, and scientific and academic organizations.
 
In the second half of the webinar, the experts deliver a deep dive into the stages and scope of an extractables and leachables testing program. The presentation covers a wide variety of topics, including:
